A high card may break a tie, especially if multiple players have a similar hand. For example, if you have a pair of kings and the other person has a pair of jacks, the high card is the tie breaker.

In addition to the high card, there are also several other things you might notice when you play poker. If you are playing a game with the button (the seat to the left of the dealer) or a small blind, you have a better chance of getting the pot.

Despite being the oldest game of its kind, the poker game has continued to evolve. Some of the more recent additions to the game include wild cards and jokers.
